My 27th Birthday!

I hope you all had a fantastic Christmas surrounded by your loved ones! SO MANY things to be thankful for this year! I recently turned 27! I actually kept forgetting my birthday was coming up this month, until POOF It was here! I hadn’t really thought much about what I wanted to do for my birthday, so I decided I would just ask my mother to watch our daughter so that we could have my birthday be a date night for just my husband and I. We rarely go on date nights just the two of us, and I couldn’t think of a better way to spend a relaxing night out! My sweet husband gifted me with such an amazing gift too! Tickets to the Jim Gaffigan show (my fav comedian) and our whole family will be going to see him with us tomorrow (Dec 27th), which I am super excited about!   I love celebrating my birthday in the midst of all the the other festive celebrations! It just makes the entire month of December a non-stop PARTAY haha. Anyway, just wanted to come on here and share a few pics from my birthday that was planned last minute!

This year has been a year of growth for me. With my father’s passing, I feel like I have matured so much about the way I think about life and my role in this life. It’s almost like my eyes have been opened to things I had never seen before. It has been the hardest year of my life, but also the most God-glorifying year of my life. I am thankful for all of it. Every struggle and every blessing has come from God and has been used to glorify Him and change me for the better.

My husband took me to eat seafood! We love sharing seafood platters because they remind us of our honeymoon! It just brings back sweet memories from almost 3 years ago when we got hitched and we went to a seafood restaurant and officially decided seafood was our favorite kind of meal to share! We also sipped on classy brews, and went out for desert afterwards and simply just enjoyed each others company! Simple spontaneous nights are the best nights!

If you live in the Orlando area, I highly recommend A.B.O (Atlantic beer and oyster bar & modern seafood shack) It’s a tiny tucked in place located on Park Avenue with great peel and eat shrimp, tasty oysters, and amazing fish dip! They also have an extensive list of local craft brews that my husband really enjoyed!

I wore a red and black blouse paired with a black gorgeous pleaded maxi skirt from PinkBlush its my new favorite! Its so airy and elegant for special occasions like your birthday or a holiday party! It also doubles as maternity! It’s definitely a piece you want to have in your closet that may never go out of style! Pair it with a fun blouse and a statement necklace to make your outfit POP even more! I love it so much, I may be wearing it again for NYE paired we a sparkly top this time!
