I have to admit it. Sometimes, I am guilty of skipping meals. Having children and hectic weeks means you might end up putting yourself last. Reality is, if you are going to efficiently take care of others you have to take care of yourself first. Eating nutritious meals are just as important to your well being like anything else! I was craving something tropical but savory the other day and this definitely did the trick. Anyway, I was able to throw it together in like 10 minutes and it was so satisfying and also low-carb. Thought It would be a good idea to share it with you.
Romaine Lettuce Leaves
Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Sea Salt Optional
Pepper Jack Cheese Slice
Apple Bourbon Salsa 1tsp.
Olive Oil 1 tsp
Slices of tomato
Directions: Once thawed season turkey patties with the lemon pepper seasoning mix and a pinch of sea salt on both sides. Pan-fry turkey patties with a little olive oil over medium heat until golden brown. Next, turn up the heat and add the pineapple slices and fry on both sides until you see that nice grill mark. Add the pepper Jack slice on top of patties and let it melt. Last, stack your burgers using the romaine as a (bun substitute), patty, pineapples, tomatoes and 1 tsp of the apple bourbon salsa on top adding that extra little kick!

The Apple Bourbon salsa and Stone Mill Lemon Pepper Seasioning are from Aldi’s. The seasoning is salt free which I love because it gives me the option of adding salt or not. Plus, it has a ton of good- for-you herbs like tumeric!
